The Imputed Righteousness of Christ

“The imputed righteousness of Christ will answer all of the fears, doubts, and objections of your soul.  How shall I look up to God? –In the righteousness of Christ.  How shall I have communion with a holy God? –In the righteousness of Christ.  How shall I find acceptance with God? –In the righteousness of Christ.  How shall I die?  –In the righteousness of Christ.  How shall I stand before the judgment seat?  –In the righteousness of Christ.  The only sure way under all the temptations, fears, conflicts, doubts, and disputes, is by faith to remember Christ and the sufferings of Christ your mediator and surety.  O Christ, I am your sin, but you are my righteousness…”  –Thomas Brooks, quoted in “Voices From The Past” Vol. 2, p. 98

About Maureen Stohlmeyer

Grateful to have been married to my wonderful husband Michael for nearly 35 years who is now with the Lord, I would like to share from writers from the past who have strengthened our faith and walk with Jesus Christ our Savior and Redeemer. His walk with God was deeply enriched by the writings of authors from the past and I dedicate this blog to him and to them.

  1. Christ is our only hope—- for everything. He is our all in all. He is the cleansed altar and the blood and the spotless, slain Lamb of God.
